Today has been a great day. I went to my parents today so they could see th kids and my dad and I were talking about things (my dad is truely my best friend) when I told him I was going to start collecting coins with Jakob, my son. We talked about it for a little while and he said, "you know, I collected coins when I was a kid". I did not know he ever had an interest in coins. He told me he never was a big collector and did not get very many before he gave it up. I asked him what he did with them and he told me they were in his upstairs closet. He went and got them and said here is a gift to start yalls collection.:mouth: I was shocked because I definately did not expect to get any coins from him. I breifly looked in them and he has a bunch of old silver dollars and a lot of halves and a bunch of other old coins. The coolest thing to me was the three albums that are half way filled with coins. He dated them March 9, 1944 and signed his name at the bottom. That was great and then when I got back home my redbook was in the mail box.:kewl: Like I said, it has been a really good day. I will let you know as I get these coins seperated.
