Ok.. Here we go... I got this slab around 2008 as one of those 5 slabbed coins for $80 kinda deals.. ok well, as i entered these coins into the NGC registry it came up as being worth a whooping $350... Just more proof that you sit on "junk" long enough it becomes treasure lol... but this one really surprised me :D 68 is toppop for this coin and there are only 5 of em

NGC may be way off on this. PCGS has it as a pop 1089 with 210 higher and a value of $15.

    For a 2005 Quarter , that's not bad .

You are seeing the value for the 2005 D Kansas business strike in ms68.

The coin you have would be the 2005 D Kansas SMS in ms68. It has a price guide value of $15 in both NGC and PCGS's price guide with a combined population of ~1400 specimens in ms68 and ~550 specimens in ms69.

    Sorry

it's value is $15.00 because that is the Satin Finish coin.

early on PCGS labeled them MS with a trademarked "Satin Finish" label. now they label them SP68 at PCGS or SMS at NGC,,,,,

PCGS category number is 914041 for this quarter, not 14040

I suspect this same mistake is being made with the NGC values also. Sorry for bursting your bubble on it..
