Yes, if I were in the market. A couple of gouges, but otherwise a nice planchet with no environmental damage and honest wear to VG-ish. I'd have rather seen it at $350, but unless we're talking 4-figure purchases I don't see a price difference of ~10-15% as a stopper for something I like.
I have a simple philosophy on bidding. If it does not go for the price I set or lower, I do not buy. The only exceptions are if I really like the coin, if it has toning with very high eye appeal, or if they are rarely offered. I have paid over maybe what the coin is worth, but not often. I think you made the right choice, don't second guess yourself.
Looks like a 17-S, R-9 ( 125-249 )The die break in the 6th link makes me think that . hope this helps.
Nope. Wouldn't purchase it, as I have no interest in collecting them. Whatever I do collect, I only buy high grade
17-S is my thought as well - die markers for both are present. Kessler lists a conditional rarity of 5+ in VF.
Really? I'd love for you to find one for me. (I'm serious) I've been looking for more than 6 months now and most Fugio's I see under $400 have serious issues or are AG-G.
