Would this nickle toning be considered an error?

    Toning is not considered an error. It's something that happens when a coin is exposed to the elements. IMO this coin is not very valuable at this time. It's a nice looking coin and I would keep it in a capsule and/or flip to keep it from toning any further. In the future it may increase in value because many collectors just love toned coins.
