On the obverse, St Mark is blessing the Doge, who is kneeling before him. To the right of the Doge you can see his name. I can easily make out the last name which is "Moceni'" which I believe would be one of the doges with the last name "Mocenigo."

There were seven different Mocenigos between the 16th and 19th centuries. From what I can make out of the first name, we have "A.O __). The clear 'A' suggests it is one of the doges name "Alvise" (there were two), but there was also an Alvise Giovanni from 1763-1779. If that 'O' is a 'G' then that may be your guy, but I can't tell from the picture (and again, the hole is in an inconvenient spot).

I'd also warn that these were heavily imitated. This could be a copy of a Venetian ducat, but I am not knowledgeable enough about these to know. The style of the design doesn't look quite right to me, but I have mostly looked at ducats from the 13th-16th centuries, so if this is from the 18th century, then the style may well have evolved.[/QUOTE]

I can easily make out the last name which is "Moceni'" which I believe would be one of the doges with the last name "Mocenigo."
