The ones I can think of off the top of my head are 1955 , 1972, 1984, 1995 doubled die varieties. The classic 1955 and 1972 are your best lookers and most expensive.

Cronin's book is too expensive. There are several good ones on the bookshelves that are cheaper and just as good in my opinion.
Debate between "errors" and "varieties"...errors do tend to be one-offs where an error was made whereas a variety can have many identical brothers and sisters. The infamous 1955 DD cent is a variety and there are a fair number of them out there. OTOH, here is the latest error I found:
