I was looking through some ebay auctions today and came across this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1946-D-ICG-...38?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item3f16f7548e I did a quick check of numismedia to see if I was missing something, for this coin in this grade the value is estimated to be... 0.13! I nominate this coin as the worst grading decision of all time. I can understand the low-ball coins, trying to make it into a registry set. I understand the high-end obviously. I even get having semi-rare coins that maybe you have found graded, even though its probably not worth it $ wise. What possible reason could this person have for having this coin graded?
Maybe he's putting together a grading set... Or it was his dead grandmother's coin... Or maybe it's the first coin he ever 'collected' (I still have mine, and it's not worth a lot more). -thecointrader
Marilyn would've had more money for her nursing home expenses if she hadnt paid submission fees on this one.
