I was looking through some ebay auctions today and came across this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1946-D-ICG-...38?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item3f16f7548e

I did a quick check of numismedia to see if I was missing something, for this coin in this grade the value is estimated to be... 0.13! I nominate this coin as the worst grading decision of all time. I can understand the low-ball coins, trying to make it into a registry set. I understand the high-end obviously. I even get having semi-rare coins that maybe you have found graded, even though its probably not worth it $ wise. What possible reason could this person have for having this coin graded?

UGH, ghastly looking thing. Why waste the submission fee?

Maybe he's putting together a grading set...

Or it was his dead grandmother's coin...

Or maybe it's the first coin he ever 'collected' (I still have mine, and it's not worth a lot more).

I think he did pretty good, a 13 cent coin sold for $3.08. Score!!!

Even with the old "nursing home expenses" format, this coin didn't sell.

Marilyn would've had more money for her nursing home expenses if she hadnt paid submission fees on this one.
