worn 1807/6 draped bust cent condition

    Hi! I have a draped bust cent that i got as a present for a holiday. The date is 1807, but i can see a six below the 7. What do you think about the condition of the coin, I am learning about early american coinage. Thank you!

    That's really odd, the 7 looks way too high. Wait awhile and someone knowledgeable will show up.

    Condition would be FR to AG. There are two different 1807/6 overdates, the small 7/6 which is rare, and the large 7/6 which is common. You have a large 7/6 (S-273). The large 7/6 has a pointed 1 in the date and the 1 is distant from the lowest curl. On the small 7/6 the 1 is blunt and the curl is up against the side of the 1.
