I always held the thought that to be a coin, it had to be struck (in which case the Lydian coins would still be the first true coins). Seems the "spade money" is considered by other sources to be coinage, too, and cast Cash coins throw a wrench into my thinking anyway. Note to self, "wrench money" could be viable for the post-apocalyptic world! Always something neat to learn in this hobby.
