Today I visited a coin shop that I'd never been to before. I knew I had to buy this uncirculated, very nicely (mildly) toned coin when I saw it for $7, especially since I knew the face value was already around $5 USD:

Lo and behold, the guy was very nice and I ended up walking out with it for $5+tax. I looked it up, and the melt value is slightly over $7, while the book value of the coin is somewhere around $15. I'm certainly very happy with this purchase! Something interesting I noticed is that in 1968, Swiss coinage started to be minted in base metal, however, in 1969, they minted the 5 franc coin in silver once again for the last time! I wonder why [emoji848]
