I looked it up, and the melt value is slightly over $7, while the book value of the coin is somewhere around $15. I&#039;m certainly very happy with this purchase! Something interesting I noticed is that in 1968, Swiss coinage started to be minted in base metal, however, in 1969, they minted the 5 franc coin in silver once again for the last time!
