The set had a mintage of 10,542 which is high for Liberian proof sets. The coins were minted in the USA.</p><p>The 1 cent through $1 have a mintage of 11K each, the $5 mintage of 28K. The cent is copper, the 5 cent through $1 are Copper-Nickel. The $5 is .900 Silver at 34.1g. Silver content is .9867. The coin is 42mm, making it the largest circulating coin minted in the USA. The 10 and 25 cent were the only coins put in circulation in 1973. All the others are proof only.</p><p><br /></p><p>Phots are not the best. The coins are sealed in a hard plastic which is not 100% clear. The coins themselves are spotless.</p><p><br /></p><p>An unrelated fact. My daughter collects Elephant coins, was born in 1973, and has a birthday coming up in a few months.
