    A german dealer had both sitting in inventory. Used acsearch.info to trace them back to prior auctions....too bad I didnt get them from the original source. I love the broad (thin) planchet strikes; diameter is closer to normal taler.

    @Chris B - That has a great look to it. By far one of the top designs in all 1600s-1800s german states coinage.

    OK - nothing startling but I have had an eye out for one of these at a cheap price for a while. It will go into my "tangent" collection of World silver coins.
    German East Africa 1 Rupie 1891. Shows signs of an old mount on the edge.

    Netherlands, 1667 medal from Amsterdam commemorating the Treaty of Breda. It's large - 70mm diameter, and four times the weight of a crown/taler/8 reales. Ungraded.
