Small batch of Sri Lanka AE massa came recently. First one is Queen Lilivati, next two are Sahasamalla. I chose these because of their outstanding condition. Most examples seen are apparently dug up and quite green and corroded.
Silver rupee, pretty sure it is Bhopal. I am still puzzled by the date of AH1298 and then on right hand image, 19. Others I see dated 1298 have a Ry. of 13.
Nice. Is it a matte proof? The finish looks a bit grainy. No idea if it's genuine or not but well done - they were struck by the Australian Coin Review and while not legal tender they were quite sought after.
It's not rare, but I don't think I've ever seen one this nice. Included the original case of issue. Just a guess, but likely worth twice as much in this PCGS holder than it would be in an NGC holder of the same grade (but then NGC probably would have graded it higher).
I spent the day in Pittsburgh at the ANA's World's Fair of Money. Beautiful city in my opinion, at least the portion I saw. Karl Stephens had his normal good selection. He didn't have anything in my core collection to offer but of course I still had some things catch my eye. This is a nice French silver medal from a dealer that I had never purchased from before. And finally a Conder token that is a bucket list coin of mine. I'm thinking ahead but this one will be in the running for the top spot in my years top 10.

ALBANIA. 25 Leke, 1970. Proof. 500 struck. This is a big coin - 2.36" in diameter. Struck to commemorate the 500th Anniversary of Skanderbeg's Death - Skanderbeg's Victory over the Turks (wiki, if interested). Not graded - I'm not sure if I'll send this one in or not. I love the toning but would hate to get it back and find out it's artificial, so I'll keep it as is
Neat little denier from Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel. Interestingly, the last coin to refer to mattier as a denomination. A different denomination on each side makes this cool as well. Minted to pay French occupation soldiers in Germany during the Seven Year's War. NGC MS63BN
