    Thanks I lucked out on finding this mint set. This 5 Satang copper (bronze) coin was stuck in the slot probably since it was put together at the Royal Thai Mint. Awesome toning on the reverse. Red hairs on the obverse from the velvet case. DSCN3915~2.JPG DSCN3914~2.JPG

    With a limited silver proof mintage of 3,800 each, these F.A.O. commemoratives from Madagascar tick off a few boxes, low mintage, proof, plus a country I didn't have before! Looking at the coinage of the country it seems quite limited. I was also intrigued to learn that Madagascar is one of two countries whose currency is not based on the decimal system.
