Thailand 1 Baht year 2500. This one looks a tad different. Supposed to have 3% silver.

 

Thailand 25 satang BE2500/AD1957. 2,500 years of Buddhism. Found in pocket change.

 

Slightly damaged Mexican 20 Pesos.

I've been reading a book about this guy and felt the need to add a coin with his image.

 

Here is the Tin version. 25 Satang Year 2489 / 1946 and 1954 to 1964

 

That is in remarkably good condition for a tin coin. See my much poorer example.

 

Thanks I lucked out on finding this mint set. This 5 Satang copper (bronze) coin was stuck in the slot probably since it was put together at the Royal Thai Mint. Awesome toning on the reverse. Red hairs on the obverse from the velvet case.

Arrived this morning a tin pitis from the Malay state of kelantan 1883

 

Sweden 5 Kroner Commemorative Issue 1966. Just over 1 million struck in .400 Silver, arrived Friday

 

Wow, neat!

 

With a limited silver proof mintage of 3,800 each, these F.A.O. commemoratives from Madagascar tick off a few boxes, low mintage, proof, plus a country I didn't have before! Looking at the coinage of the country it seems quite limited. I was also intrigued to learn that Madagascar is one of two countries whose currency is not based on the decimal system.

 

Picked this up for 25 Euros yesterday. 1947 Panama 1 Balboa, 500,000 minted in Philadelphia in .900 Silver
