Here are the two 5 francs. I’m still at an impasse. The 1811 is raw and the 1813 is NGC VF30 slabbed.
Been a while, but I'm back! Got a cool coin yesterday, one that I've wanted for a good while. Here is my newest addition, a 1794 1 Gulden from the province I call home, Holland! (pics are from the seller)
Most probably my last coin purchase for this year. An item that has caught my eye on several occasions .This particular specimen is also a variety an over date 1624/3 . Danzig Poland
Your Danzig coin reminded me of these three REPLICA coins that arrived with some genuine Victorian silver the other day. (The auction house had clearly indicated they were replicas, so no issues there.) I thought they might be useful to people watching out for dodgy sales on Ebay and elsewhere. All are not silver and the edges are far too square and even, but otherwise might fool the inexperienced online: The Austrian one at least makes some pretence at honesty as it has the date 1963 as well as the original 1642 in the design.
Alright! Got another cool one for you guys today.. This is a 1 Gulden (surprise, i know), from Holland! But this one was issued under the government of the Batavian Republic (1795-1806). Which means that this example is from an era in where Dutch coinage becomes expensive and very scarce.. Also, here is the 1794 Gulden from my last post, but just for fun I'll throw it in here too!
Can you tell us what it is? Wild guess - Macedonian, but I'm probably way off. I like ancients, but know little.
A fun buy for spot today: 1933, 1934, 1934 & 1935 Poland 5 zloytch and 1974 200 zloytch The 1934 (Princess type) is a scarcer coin with 250,000 mintage and decent VF/F condition.
