Those first two definitely live up to the spirit of the post you quoted with their lower mintages! Nice ones.

The 1960 is a beauty for about $2. :) You gave me a nudge at just the right time.

Sorry about the plastic, but I can't find an easy way to open up the 4 coin set, which is aftermarket but well done. I like the bimetallic look of this coin.

Here are my newest aquisitions, a 2 stuivers from the city of Kampen and a Duit from the city of Batenburg. About the latter is a fun piece of lore, a part of the series was overstruck on irish pennies from the same era.[IMG]

Here's a couple of my newps from this weekend:

    SAM_6288.JPG
Some assorted Hong Kong dollars. The 2010s dates don't show up as much as the earlier ones, so it was nice to find three of them in one group.

And freed these guys from one of those aftermarket coin/stamp souvenir sets. A fun mix of types here, most of which are new for me.

Thank you for your service coin_nut. I saw that you posted the 20 Dong in another thread a few days back that you brought back from Nam, but wasn't fast enough to post its 10 dong mate.

Thanks, hombre. You know what? I just about quit posting my new acquisitions. It might make other CT people lust after the same kind of coins and be bidding against me on ebay. I know, ebay kind of pulls a vacuum in some ways, however considering where I live and what I want, it usually works for me. Didja know? Nam means south. Bac means north, in tieng viet.

I did not know that about the naming. A good friend of mine (older brother of a high school and lifelong buddy) was in VN in '68.

    Finally got the images working!

Today i got this little champ in the mail, a really nice and UNC Dutch 10 Cents from 1919!

These are hard to find in such a great condition, let alone uncleaned.

Plus i only paid €11 in total, which is about a quarter of the asking price! IMG_20210217_153307.jpg IMG_20210217_153351.jpg

Very nice! I have a Dutch quarter that I wish looked as good as your dime! But then mine went through WW1.:) Polish_20210217_104054502.jpg
