This just in - bought on a whim, more because of the history than the attractiveness of the coin itself. Edward the Black Prince Denier minted in Limoges (I understand). He was the son of Edward III but died before his father so in England we skipped a generation to Richard II, the boy king.
This beautiful lady from Martinique must have been used for jewelry of some sort, but the coin retains its attractiveness.
I bought a couple in the past week. I really liked the toning on this Australian half penny. Wish it didn't have the small lamination on the kangaroo though.
1949, Year of my birth, I see I have one also. Here is a recent arrival, 1972 Mexico 5 pesos, nice big coin.
Big surprise, yesterday these coins arrived. I bought them back in March, just before the plague hit and the post offices in India were closed. That seller is honest and on the ball. Ebay refused to give me any sort of refund when I thought they were lost forever.
I have picked up about 900 coins in the past 3 months, so not easy to figure out which ones to post in this thread.
