If this accursed plague/war keeps up, I will have to post some coins from last year as being my "Newest Acquisition". Really in the doldrums here.
No, but after an exhaustive search I was able to find these. DR Indian Princess 25 centavos DR Indian Princess Half Peso DR Indian Princess Peso

Been doing it for over 10 years for copper coins never had a problem. Have numerous MS coins that have had it NGC and PCGS. But you can do whatever you wish. Just like some are scared of using acetone. their choice.
I sometimes will rub a dull looking copper coin on my nose, and my own personal "nose oil" makes the coin look much better. I usually then rub it lightly on my cotton shirt or pants, buff it out some. I do not do that for MS and proof coins, just raw circulated ones in lesser condition.
A lovely coin I had to own. I really loved the depiction Christ/Virgin Mary on it, and with full faces too. It also helped I needed this emperor for my Byzantine collection. Today is a fitting day to post it. Happy Easter everyone. Romanus IV (1068 - 1071 A.D.) Æ Follis Anonymous Class G O: Bust of Christ facing raising hand and holding Book of Gospels, IC XC in fields. R:Bust of Virgin Mary facing with both hands upraised. 5.41g 25mm SB 1867
Here are two that I bought 2 months ago, I haven't been on here in a while. West African States 1982 5000 franc, there is also a 1972 500 franc I'm still looking for, and Burundi 2014 5000 francs bank anniversary.
A couple Hungarian patterns I picked up over the last couple weeks: Hungary 1990BP 100 Forint (András Fáy) Pattern Nickel-Brass Adamo EME29 Próbaveret Obverse Népköztársaság Reverse This is one of the transitional patterns made in 1989 (though it is dated 1990). The name of Hungary changed from Magyar Népköztársaság (The Hungarian People's Republic) to Magyar Köztársaság (The Republic of Hungary) at the end of the Soviet era in the last couple months of 1989. This commemorative coin was released in 1990 with the new name for Hungary on the reverse - there were new revised patterns made with the country name change. Patterns of this earlier unreleased version are harder to find. Hungary 1992BP SZ 10 Forint Pattern Copper Adamo FT6 In 1992, a new set of coinage was released for Magyar Köztársaság (The Republic of Hungary). Several artists submitted designs to the mint for selection. This particular type was considered, but not selected, for the final version of the 10 forint issued in 1992. This example was struck in copper at the Szeged Mint (mint mark SZ on the edge). Total mintage of this pattern is unknown, but it is of considerable rarity. The other denominations from this set were not struck, to my knowledge.
