I thought of you when I saw that. I haven't had a chance to read up on it but I thought it had to do with the war there. I know in 1848-49 a lot of the countries in Europe faced unrest.

    A new pickup:

    Austria Corona 1916
    NGC MS65+

For my NGC competitive registry set. Top pop and a slight bump from my previous MS65.

    Hungary 25 Forint 1961BP Proof
    Franz Liszt commemorative

One type from a larger set of bullion coins produced by Hungary in 1961.

Also one of my friends thinks the bust on these looks like Gargamel from the Smurfs.

A recent purchase. I have been looking for a reasonably priced Netherlands West Indies coin for a while and found one in August that was a bit more that I wanted to spend but decided to buy it anyway. The seller was in Europe. Coin never made it through through the transit between USPS > CBP > USPS at JFK airport. My second large dollar item scanned late on a Saturday night / Sunday morning "through ISC" never to be seen again. Luckily found another recently up for auction and I was the only bidder.

Hint: You can right click on the picture, then click on "Inspect". That will show you a lot of info, including the file name. The first one I have IDed as "850-970 Post-Shahi AR Jital". Next one is "AH1276/1860 Maldives AE 1/2 Larin-Kuda". 3rd one is "VS1999/1942 Mewar-Udaipur AE 1/2 Anna"

What an unusual denomination. 1/192nd of a Rixdollar.
