Picked up this nice $1 British Virgin Islands antiqued brushed bronze finish coin minted in 2010. I'm not aware of any other coins minted with this particular process. The finish reminds me of a brushed brass door knob, with clear brush marks and hairlines in the fields, a darkened "antiquing" around the devices and lettering, and intentionally minted as such. It is a very nice high relief design, and the coin has great "feel" in hand at a diameter of 38.6mm and a weight of 28.3 grams. The coin design was also minted in 0.925 Silver proof finish with a denomination of $10.
Nice Franco/Prussian commem! The Prussian issue is quite common, I've never seen one of these before.
Picked up a group of German Empire Marks for my year set. Almost done! Here are some. When buying in lots, I do end up with some duplicate years of course.
Nice! I got an 1830 Sachsen thaler. Actually I already had the same but different year. They're not rares but in the catalouge I wasn't sure which type is this ( Old Head?) Sorry for the rough shot Regards Dan
Nice thalers Thanks for posting the very nice talers & welcome to CoinTalk. I look forward to your threads & coins at CT. :welcome:

my latest... nothing fancy, just a used shilling... one step closer to completing my shilling collection.
The one arrived today. It celebrates the 500th anniversary of the opening in 1477 of the Hall Mint of Tyrol. The mint is significant historically as it is the birthplace of the first large size silver coin in 1486 that would later become known as a Taler.
OK - this cam out of the two dollar bin, which I think is pretty good. But check out this 2x2 reverse. It looks like someone tried everything they can think og to sell this coin at full retail!
I got myself an angel... well sort of. 1889 France 20 Franc termed Angel coin. This coin may be harder to find in lower grades as I have not seen one yet. Its got an interesting history behind it and according to an article famous people including Napolean were know to carry one for good luck, but who knows.
