Picked up 3 coins from Sweden at a small coin show.

Envy is the word. sweet coin. I collect Ethiopia, but will wait on this coin because they get crazy high in higher grades.

These came yesterday, 1965 New Zealand half penny and shilling, both in rather nice condition.

Wouldn't have bought it but the Doubled Die stuck out like a sore thumb.

 

I really like this coin because of all the symbolism it has on it, it tells quite a story.
I have not figured it all out yet. I don't even mind that it's in a slab. (They are so hard to store that way.) And to write info on.

 

The New Zealand shilling in particular is mighty close to proof-like surfaces. Just a lovely coin!

Thanks guys! I also felt like they were proof coins. I am not sure what is the difference between "proof" and "proof like". I was very careful to not lay any fingerprints on them as I stowed them in new tiny zip lock bags.

 

I believe prooflike. I don't think they made proofs that year. But they did make prooflike sets.

 

Livonia 1647 Solidus

Minted during the Swedish occupation.

Not my normal wheelhouse but it's pretty cool and picked it up cheap.

Obverse: Crowned C with Vasa arms within the inner circle
Reverse: Arms in cartouche in an inner circle, date in legend

Composition: Silver

 

Here is the last coin of a batch of recent coin show purchases I finally finished photographing. Pretty cool conder token ( or something pretty similar to a conder token).

 

These came today, India, Kutch state, 1883 and 1919 1 tambiyo. Thick, neat looking little copper coins.

 

This came with some tokens I purchased. I'm not sure from what mid east country.
