Got this today. Picked it up for a hair over melt due to the bad photos. A very nice coin in hand, even though my photos aren't much better haha Sellers Mine
It's a 1915 from the Sydney Mint (you know it had to be an aussie one). One of the easiest to find in mint state I guess. I'll try to get some better photos.
I too have a Australia 1918-S S=Sydney mint. KM#29 , mintage- 3,716,000 valued at $450 I paid $460 your 1915-S has a mintage- 1,346,000
I forgot to mention mine is a half sovereign. Not a full one. I picked mine up for $170 and melt is sitting around $150 right now. I think it's a solid win.
oh ok. yours is KM#28 then. mintage- 138,000 2016 Krause grade/value XF-40-$153 MS-60-$298 MS-63-$350 is your coin in AU grade or MS grade ? I look forward to seeing better pics of this coin.
Here are the first 2 from the Chattanooga coin show for my British copper type set. My main priority was strong portraits for the grade, the farthing has some porosity on Williams shoulder but I don't find it distracting. The half penny has a very nice portrait, the reverse has a bit of a weak strike but the date is still clear.
I have to say this has got to be one of my better deals. This is a key date coin Yea it's destroyed, looks like it got ran over by a truck a dozen times. But for $1.20 shipped, yea I'm down.

cool coins. what grade is your Napoleon coin VF or XF ? there's a $100+ in the XF grade in my Krause catalog. I understand that values may differ than real life market value.
VF is what I was thinking too. I sure like those "X's" on your other 2 coins. I feel like a pirate looking at those. are these X coin considered medieval coins ? what was the time period (date) of the pirates again ?
Nice gold, Nathan! Pirates were more around 1600s & 1700s. But they have existed since we could use boats, lol.
that's a nice gift. I would like a 1/4 oz bullion coin in gold bezel down the road. I like the color of Canadian gold best. especially the maple leaf design ones.
