I acquired some Imperial Russian coins. I've been after this one for a while:

Knowing the kind of coins you collect I'm honored to own a coin that you feel is worthy of your collection. Not a great pic but here's mine. 1935 New Zealand threepence.JPG

1894 Rouble. Can someone shed any light on the actual mintage numbers please. Was it 3007 or 3,007,000. There seems to be some controversy on this subject.

1899 10 Roubles. I've always loved the double headed eagle on the reverse of Imperial Russian coins

And today I think I did rather well for myself. Just acquired this shekel for 25% less than the seller purchased it.....and he had got it at a very competitive price. AU 4/5 and 4/5 and with pretty decent toning and details. I think on a good day and in the right circumstances it should make good money and help me defray the costs of some of my other recent acquisitions. :)

Except for the eight small CoAs (on the wings), Russia has the very same eagle these days. But on many coins they use the eagle of the central bank, not the national emblem ...
