Although many coins were produced during his reign, I noticed that very few appear to be in MS condition and high quality coins are very hard to come by and very pricey. Here's a 20 Franc piece I bought a few days ago. A few rim nicks but otherwise aXF: But I like the reverse of the Italian issue much more.
I also have an 1810 Napoleon 20 Francs, but not in as good shape as the previously posted coin: France 20 Francs 1810 Napoleon I Mint: W-Lille, Privy Mark: Caduceus, 21mm, 6.39gm
Some of my recent world silver coinage I collect. I know the Austria coin is not silver but I love the design.
I really liked the design on that 2000 Czech Republic Mint Set 50 H denomination design it is amazing. I liked how the circles all went together. very well thought out design. I might have to get it.
I dunno about others, but I certainly in am the camp that loves that design. Never mind that yours is a humble circulated piece. I love it all the same. One of these days I'd like to get a nice UNC of this type.
Just got this in a fun swap (which was a blind swap, for me). (Please pardon the wretched cellphone pix- my new camera setup is not here yet)
Nice work. These T&C crowns are a very attractive design and not inexpensive either. What did you swap it for?
A Lucite coin paperweight. (See link in that post.) Struck me as a pretty charitable trade on his part, which is why I chose to sing his praises. Just a nice, fun swap.
