This is a full Hessen-Kassel thaler that marriages to the 1/6 thaler I posted earlier. The total mintage was 37K. To run across it was a pleasant surprise since they were bought so close together from different sources.
great early coin. German States Hesse-Cassel 1834 Thaler KM#587 .750 silver mintage-37,000 grade/value F-$18.00 VF-$40.00 XF-$130.00 UNC-$450.00 Krause values may differ from real life market values. not sure what your coins grade is ? VF-XF ? date run- 1832-39 1841-42 I really like 19th century coins.
KM 275a colombia 1952 1 Centavo. Very nice toning and frosted surface with doubling on the 1 and 9. The 2 is also dramatically misaligned.
Thanx. I was lucky, bought a nice circulated 200 coin collection of Colombian coins on Toronto auction for very good price.
Oh Canada! Found a nice Canadian Proof set for the collection. 1981 Double Dollar. Mintage 199,000. In addition to the CN Voyageur Dollar, it contains a Silver Commemorative Dollar with some nice toning around the rim. The Dollar commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Act of Parliament which authorized the construction of the Trans-Canada railway. It shows a 19th century steam locomotive.
Yup - these are both from Mexico Mint. First one is a key date for the armored bust series of Fernando VII (KM# 110, Calbeto# 862). Second one is a more common coin in the draped bust series (KM# 111, Calbeto# 890)
