No, it was too rich for my blood. I wish I'd bid higher on the other one, but who knows how high that would have gone. I'll keep an eye out and hopefully find a good deal someday.

 

Another new addition, this time more gold. This makes my third modern gold in my collection. Helps to be dry spell buying ancients !

Just picked this up. I told myself I wasn't going to buy anything else this month. But..... She's a beaut.

Here is one of my newest. The other i haven't got a definite id on yet. This one is a 1912 50 centavo from Portugal that I picked up for around $ 10.

This is another pick up. Krause values at $55. We all know Krause often over values but I am sure I "won it" for $15.
1991 Japan Mint Bureau Proof Set. It came in a beautiful leatherette binder and sleeve. Coins are awesome. Ignore the dust and specs from the plastic. Mintage 220,000. 500 Yen, Paulownia Flower, 100 Yen, Cherry Blossoms, 50 Yen, Chrysanthemums, 10 Yen, Hoo-do of Byodoin, 5 Yen, Rice ears, 1 Yen, Young Tree.

 

Beautiful set of coins! Also at a good price!
