Just got this in the mail today and it is waaaaaay better looking than this photo. So much more luster and the start of some rainbow toning by the eagles beak. Super pleased
here's another ugly coin... another spanish 8 maravedis of philip the 4th, 1652 (date is upside down at 3 o'clock). The "R" countermarks are part of the monogram of philip iv. i think it is oversturck on an 8 maravedis of philip iii, you can clearly see the castle on the reverse (upside down). you can see the original date on the obverse to the left, i think it is 1619. 21x23 mm, 5.4g here's a pretty coin... date and text on edge as well..."1964" Italy, 1964, 500 lire hard to get a good picture of this coin...VERY pretty in hand.
1st 1 Not to Ugly I have worse that 1964 Italian 500 Lira one hard coin to find graded above MS-65 due to rim engraving
Is there a line in the 2 on that 1892 500 Ries Shadow in photo.???? I'm just guessing you may want to check.

Here are two neat coins I got today. One is an Australia 1 penny token from 1859. Australia didn't mint official coins until 1910, and this is pretty neat even if it has a hole in it. the other is a Tuvalu 50 cents coin that was generously sent to me by Cointalk member SpiritYoda. I love the octopus!
here is one i just won at auction for what i thought was a fair price at $14. It is a AH 1299 Zanzibar Pysa, km#1
Distilled water for a long time and tampering it dry. but all the gunk won't come off with out damage. Acetone sometimes reacts bad with bronze and copper.
verdi-gris works good on copper. acetone does not work good on copper it tones it a very strange color.
