I started a new collection of Paraguay 19th century coinage. The gold coins (check out the history on those) would be very difficult to get, but the others make for a nice small set. Some beautiful coins indeed and not that expensive. These are the first three coins I got today and most likely the best documented specimens. wow the grade on that is amazing. a Italy coin I have wanted for years now but other coins take priority. very sweet coin. may i ask what you paid for it ?
these coin are so fanatastic. so glad you posted them. I collect "coins with stars" and I have not seen these before. they are so great. the grades blow my mind. may I ask how much you paid for these 3 coins ?
I am not the best person at bargains and buy what I want most of the time. These coins are rare in this condition. The three coins are NGC graded (for now anyway) and were 650 US.
Latin coinage does have some nice star coins. I have posted a few you liked. I believe Uruguay 19th century also have some nice stars. The problem is getting nice examples. Look at these ones from Cuba. http://mexicancoincompany.com/Products/6/9/8/6988-1.jpg http://mexicancoincompany.com/Products/1/8/1/18101-1.jpg
These are some of my latest they are all in the colonial part so I will just choose my favourites to show here for those who don't look at that thread ! The new 2p is just for a bit of a comparison !
Thanks; I've been looking for one for awhile (kept finding G-VG if they dealer had any) but I like that design so much really wanted a MS grade. I've not actually done the final tally on (I hate that part) but with tax, shipping, etc. should come in around $120 US give or take a buck or two.
hi all, i just picked up this giganto russian 5 kopeks. i've always wanted one, and it sure is big and very pretty, but i don't really know if it is authintic or not...so if you world coin experts have any thoughts i would appreciate it. it's 43.5mm and 52.3g by the way.
