A sensitive one. Found this as change. It is a two tailed coin. I know all about this magicians coin and inspected it well. Also took it to a dealer in Santiago. He confirmed it is not a magicians coin. Who knows how this happened. Maybe it was made and put into circulation.
AH1340 (1921) Morocco 10 Mazunas ~30.3mm; 10.2gm; smooth edge. I see, but do not understand, the date notation. I believe it has to do with the beginning of reign of a monarch, but there are exceptions? My confusion is large... A sweetly simple copper; very reassuring, somehow, to hold and contemplate. May become a quirky favorite.
I too love this design. I showed my mint state Morocco 10 mazunas in the "stars upon thars" thread Ripley started. I like your coin because it has the privy marks on the bottom and it's the other year different year than mine. I also have the 1 ,2, 5, 10 denominations.

The 1340 you mean? That is the Hijra or Hejira date (Islamic calendar), see this page. And here is a "time machine" that helps with the conversion. By the way, these are the pieces that spirityoda mentioned: http://www.cointalk.com/t25084-4/#post1651683 Was curious and looked them up myself. Nice coins too! Christian
heres what i'm doing at the moment edited Note: if you'd like to discuss chess, you're welcome to start a discussion about it in the GD.
OK, chess then. Or rather Kempelen's chess "machine" (see here). The Hungarian central bank has a data sheet too. Christian
Christian, thats a real cool article on the chess machine, chess is one of my favorite games, I'm sure that machine would of took a lot of my money
Well, we were wondering what your original chess post was doing here and then I wanted to get on-topic again. Don't play chess myself, but there are a couple of chess coins. Here is one that I do not have (image from the central bank) - a Russian 2 ruble piece honoring Mikhail Botvinnik. The data sheet in English is here. Christian
My latest bargains any idea what the problem is on the st.helena 1/2d ? it seems to either be guilt or gold washed maybe ?
