gbroke, I have just bought some coins off this guy at work. 1 of them looks like your second coin from prussia 1908 A date. I think it's VF-XF kind of dark toned. I will try to get a pic of it soon for you to look at. I am liking that 5 mark 1967 D.

The best I did so far with the Peruvian SOL are NGC MS60. I think this might beat that. I can unfortunately not capture the mint luster well on this one, but very nice inhand. The A in LA UNION is also a different die variety than normal. The cross bar on the A does NOT run through both legs.
An interesting design, and you may find the other one, issued in the same year, interesting too. It commemorates the battle of Grunwald/Žalgiris/Tannenberg, and Lithuania issued (round ) coins on that occasion too: http://www.nbp.pl/en/banknoty/kolekcjonerskie/2010/2010_08___grunwald_en.pdf This year Poland issued another oval "coin", dedicated to the Teatr Polski in Warsaw, which is even colored. And talking about odd shapes, here is one - nah, four - issued for the UEFA Cup last year: http://www.nbp.pl/banknoty_i_monety...e/2012/2012_08___euro_2012_uefa_4m_10zl_A.jpg http://www.nbp.pl/banknoty_i_monety...e/2012/2012_08___euro_2012_uefa_4m_10zl_B.jpg It's not your eyes, it's not the photos. Those pieces do have that odd shape ... Christian
