1928 Irish Half Crown This coin is 75% silver. Mintage was 2,160,000, but a good number of those have been melted down. Really nice eye appeal, but wear in some common spots hold the coin back a little bit. Probably paid too much for it, but I liked the look of it...and when it comes to high grade pre-decimal Irish coinage you can throw the price guide out the window.
This 1938 1 Double was some sort of mail order deal I guess how they sold coins back in the day. Pretty cool though and inside is a little history lesson on how the Nazis occupied this tiny island off the coast of France and how that played out. I learned something there for sure as I didn't even know where Guernesey was until then. It matches my 1889 8 Double pretty well and these two coins represent the entirety of this countries holdings but a good start I should think! Just love nice copper in about anything really.....
Very nice, like it a lot! Variety adds some spice to the hobby like a good street Burrito, but take care you might regret it the next day!

That would be a major score on that purchase if indeed it was at melt. Very, very scarce coin in top condition like this one. Assuming the reverse doesn't have a pinback soldered to it or some other major problem.
World Coins Struck at the U.S. Mints One of the PCGS Registry Sets is World Coins Struck at the U.S. Mints. Really interesting, huge set, 814 coins running from Australia to Venezuela. Anyone who attempts completion had better have serious patience and a healthy checkbook. http://www.pcgs.com/SetRegistry/Composite.aspx?c=4824 Best Regards, :hail: George
