I couldn't resist buying this one for a Christmas present, it's in the mail. Can't wait to get it in hand, if it is as nice as the photo, I think it's one of the most beautifully toned coins I've ever seen. Enjoy! Best Regards, :hail: George1780 Maria Theresa Thaler Restrike MS66 PCGS
The coin was in very bad shape, but could see that the black residue was not deep and some patches had the toning underneath. I soaked it in pure dry acetone for 24 hour intervals followed with a brief rinse in luke warm distilled water. I did this for a week and got the result. This was after some experimenting on bad peru soles.
Canada has a $20 series; Farewell to the Penny, Queen's Diamond Jubilee, Polar Bear, Canoe, and Maple Leaf. This one had a mintage of 250,000 and sold out pretty fast. You know the old saying "You snooze, you lose"? Well, I lost. Had to snipe it on eBay, but for 7.96 grams still paid way too much. That's when you know you're a sick collector...
50 lire Vulcano (god of fire) issued from 1954 to 1989, and in reduced size (16.5 mm., 2.7 gr.) from 1990 to 1995...one of the longest-running Italian coins. They are common coins, the only rare is 1958. petronius :smile
