I couldn't resist buying this one for a Christmas present, it's in the mail. Can't wait to get it in hand, if it is as nice as the photo, I think it's one of the most beautifully toned coins I've ever seen.

    Enjoy!

    Best Regards, :hail:

That one looks really nice - how did you restore it. Acetone?

The coin was in very bad shape, but could see that the black residue was not deep and some patches had the toning underneath. I soaked it in pure dry acetone for 24 hour intervals followed with a brief rinse in luke warm distilled water. I did this for a week and got the result. This was after some experimenting on bad peru soles.

Canada has a $20 series; Farewell to the Penny, Queen's Diamond Jubilee, Polar Bear, Canoe, and Maple Leaf. This one had a mintage of 250,000 and sold out pretty fast. You know the old saying "You snooze, you lose"? Well, I lost. Had to snipe it on eBay, but for 7.96 grams still paid way too much. That's when you know you're a sick collector...

50 lire Vulcano (god of fire) issued from 1954 to 1989, and in reduced size (16.5 mm., 2.7 gr.) from 1990 to 1995...one of the longest-running Italian coins.

They are common coins, the only rare is 1958.

Nice coin Coinfreak1996. That is a scarce issue, as all of the coins from Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha.
