1878 $1 VAM 9, first Morgan dollar die pair used. Struck on March 11 or 12, 1878.

Korea Year 505 (1896) 5 fun. Note the difference in country name: 大朝鮮 (Great Korea) vs. 朝鮮 (Korea). The former essentially claimed Korea was not a vassal state of China but an independent Empire. Ming China's envoy, Yuan Shikai, was pissed, and Korea had to issue a revised version. Or something like that.
