So today the world coin bin was full, allowing me to pick up 25 coins for $5. Here are the coins: Nice, huh? Oh wait, there's only 22 coins. Let's look at the other three. 1931 Canada Cent, better date. Looks like a VF-30 to me. 1888-G 5 pfennig, VGish. 853000 made, much better date for 25 cents. 1908-J 1 pfennig, XF-AU with a spot of something on the obverse. Maybe it'll come off with acetone? And one that might be worth a bit... 1925 Cameroonian 1 franc, French colony. This was in the original picture. Unsure of the value but maybe you more experienced people will be able to tell me. So, how did I do for $5?
You did well, some nice older coins there. Now, if you had said you spent your $5.00 on a Powerball ticket....well....
Here is a link to a site that I use for coin values. I find it quite fun to use. http://worldcoingallery.com/
Not bad for a 20 cent "junque" box. I started doing this years ago and ended up with a good start on date/mint sets of German minors and English Farthing-Penny.
