Really don't know the name & location of the castle

Norwich and Norfolk half penny. I suspect that the castle is in either Norwich or Norfolk.

Copy taken from an ebay listing ( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/50p-coin-Isle-Man-Milners-Tower-Port-Erin-2008-VGC-/130462532987 ):

50P COIN ISLE OF MAN MILNERS TOWER PORT ERIN

Standing upon Bradda Headland overlooking Port Erin and its bay is Milner's Tower. Built in 1871 by the residences of Port Erin in honour of William Milner, a Liverpool safemaker (hense the shape of the tower in the form of a lock), who was a great benefactor of the town. The tower was meant to be built in secret as a surprise, but once Milner found out he donated much of the building cost.

Here is an interesting sestertius of Trajan depicting a triumphal arch:

TRAJAN. 98-117 AD. Æ Sestertius. Struck circa 104-107 AD. Laureate bust right, wearing aegis / Triumphal arch of Trajan, consisting of a massive base, with gateposts and gateway under central arch, with elaborate superstructures; on the sides of the base, bas-reliefs from top to bottom on each side; panels either side of pediment; the pediment contains Jupiter and the panels each contain a quadriga racing inwards; the frieze on the roof is inscribed IOM, atop of which, is a six-horse chariot escorted front by two Victories; to either side trophies. RIC II 572; Cohen 547. A masterful architectural rendition.

    Left to right...

    Palace of Westminster (Big Ben)
    Westminster Abby
30 St Mary's Axe (The Gherkin)
    The Monument
    St Paul's Cathedral
    London Eye

+ The low rise buildings that might be made up.

Either way it's a made up skyline of London, with only Big Ben being next to the river in real life.

For this old thread I can post these two depicting the Trier (Germany) gate and one depicting the Connecticut (USA) capital dome.

That gate on the piece from Trier is the Porta Nigra (see here), an ancient Roman city gate which was preserved because it was a Christian church in later years.

Here you see the gate, along with other historic buildings in Trier, on the 2009 issue of the Unesco World Heritage series. Those are €100 gold pieces which do not circulate. ;)

You mentioned once that the Trier Porta Nigra was going to be on a future German 2 Euro coin. Do you know if that is that still the plan?

This is the closest I have to a piece of Architecture unless you want to include the Statue of Liberty.

There are Jeffs and Lincolns ...
