A major complaint I have with the PCGS registry is that they allow hidden sets where all you get to see is the rank, percent completion and scores for the set. But you don’t get to see the set composition. One of the stated reasons for having the registry is to allow collectors to share their collections with other collectors. Just seeing rank, percent completion and a score or two isn’t sharing much!

However, if pictures exist in the PCGS database or if the user posted pictures, there is a work-around to see hidden sets. On the line where the hidden set is listed, click on the user’s name on the far right; then if the user’s profile is public, click on Gallery. In the listing of sets under that heading, there is a hidden set for user dbehnfield. Click on dbehnfield on the far right, and you’ll go to dbehnfield’s profile. Click on Gallery, and you’ll see pics of all dbehnfield’s coins.

Cal
On the line where the hidden set is listed, click on the user’s name on the far right; then if the user’s profile is public, click on Gallery. That’s it. If the user has multiple sets, you’ll see all the pics for all their sets. Example: Say you’re interested in Indian Head $10 Gold Date Set, Circulation Strikes (1907-1933). In the listing of sets under that heading, there is a hidden set for user dbehnfield. Click on dbehnfield on the far right, and you’ll go to dbehnfield’s profile. Click on Gallery, and you’ll see pics of all dbehnfield’s coins. :) Cal
