woodgrain penny

    I should clarify, the 1924 is beautiful, however, I believe the 1892 has probably been worked/cleaned. It is too blotchy to be original, and sometimes, depending on how the coin is cleaned, it gets this type of look. And it isn't very common for 1892's to have the woodgrain look. There are specific years (1872, 1873, 1908, among others) where woodgrain toning is more common.
