Hi all. Does anyone know where I can find a wooden display case which can hold two very large encapsulated medals? Each capsule is 3" in diameter. Something like this, give or take:

I tried Wizard, Coin Supply Express, and Transline so far and came up empty. Appreciate your help and thanks!

How creative and apt at DIY are you?
What you're looking for is really very simple. Do a Google search for 'jeweler supplies wooden display case'. What shows up are variations of the case in your original post. The wooden display is the labor part. All you need to do is remove the velvet lining and foam type material underneath. Go to a hobby shop or Michael's Arts & Crafts and buy a replacement foam. Cut the desired shape into the foam and line it with the velvet you initially removed. Or just replace that too

    Easy peasey.

You know - I was thinking along the same lines if I got stuck. But I was going to just cut around and enlarge the openings. Maybe that'll work too?

I did something similar when I couldn't find any Lighthouse DIY slabs for 1 oz. bars. I got the slabs for dimes and made the rectangular openings myself. See:

Thanks for your suggestion and - by the way - I found out what dressed to the nines means! Hahaha.

Thanks - the hurdle though, is to find one that can hold a very large 3" capsule.

I always feel good when I'm in jeans, plaid, Carhartt, boots, flannel, Kuhl, etc.
However, when I'm going out on the town and I'm dressed to the nines, I float a couple feet above the ground. Makes me feel amazing. ;)

try eBay for " wooden presentation cabinets" some Lighthouse coin products and then change the presentation for awards and some more.

If that doesn't work, call you nearest coin dealer. Mine gives the enclosures away for a lot of foreign commen coins.
