The hugely successful Brian Henry Grover Collection auctioned yesterday nearly had to be sold as "a private UK collection" but for my strong advice against this. Traditionally, this desire for a measure of anonymity has been the case for a variety of reasons, but more recently of course some of this can be attributed to concern (justified or not) over the hostile attitude of government bureaucrats, be they foreign or domestic. If you ever sell your collection, I can but hope that you stand up to be counted and proudly put your name against the coins you have carefully brought together over the years. It gives the anti-collecting lobby less fodder and usually allows the coins to command a premium.[/QUOTE]
