Morgandude11 As long as it's Silver, I'm listening

I passed on the medal, as I am not big on medals and tokens (except for Daniel Carr). I got one $1 silver uncirculated, and 1 silver proof, and skipped the medal. Have not as yet gotten them from the mint.

Yes it is ugly, sales fo far through 8/30 is 6,664 pieces. Be interesting to see what nexts weeks report is since most of these new comm dollars sales are in the first two to three weeks with just a slow trickle after that.

Thanks for the update. If I'm not mistaken, sales of coins like these are terminated at the end of the calendar year, which is just under four months away.

I'll be watching the reports, too, as the high price of silver and the pandemic would seem to impact sales as well as the rather uninteresting design.

They can't strike anymore after the end of the year, but sales tend to continue until the next comm programs goes on sale or they run out. Since this is the second program for this year sales MAY continue until the second program next year. The 2019 American legion coins remained on sale until the Woman's Suffrage coins went on sale. (Unc sales of the Legion dollar were 13,679.)

I picked up this Franklin Mint medal from 1970 commemorating the 50 year anniversary of women's right to vote for a buck or so.. They also made this in sterling silver. Back in 1970 the FM did a pretty good job. Too bad about the price bleeding through the sticker on to the package. I probably would take the silver version of this one over the silver 100 year commemorative from the US Mint... Polish_20201108_201858699.jpg
