I love a wobbly campgate. I bought a batch of 12 campgates for a Flavius Victor. There are a number of culls, but a couple of nice coins. This one is Arcadius. Post your wobbly campgates. Arcadius (Augustus) DN ARCADIVS PF AVG - Pearl diademed cuirassed right GLORIA REI-PVBLICE - Campgate 4 layers 2 turrets, no star Exergue: Mint: Thessalonica (384-388 AD) Wt./Size/Axis: 1.20g / 10mm / - References: RIC IX Thessalonica 62c

Ooh, nice... I love these wobbly, ramshackled campgates and have always wanted to pick up a few. Thanks for the reminder! Perhaps only slightly wobbly, but you could surf on that wavy top layer... MAGNUS MAXIMUS AE4. 0.9g, 14mm. Arles mint, AD 383-388. RIC 29a. O: D N MAG MAXI-MVS P F AVG, diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right. R: SPES RO-MA-NORVM, campgate with 5 layers, 2 turrets, star between; SCON in exergue.
Nice pick up Pishpash, they fascinate me how they kept the Constantine type camp-gates going for another 100 plus years, I would't mind seeing some of the others you got Pishpash as I have been contemplating collecting a few different camp gates from Constantine on wards, as of now I don't have any.
here's an Arcadius, same as the first coin, except with windows, leaning a bit to the left Arcadius A.D. 384- 388 13x14mm 1.5gm DN ARCADIVS P F AVG; pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right. Very cool Bing! I must add one of these Caracalla city gates to my collection. Like Sallent, for some reason I have a soft spot for the guy. My city gate: Diadumenian, AD 217-218 AE, 28mm, 11.4g; 12h; Nikopolis ad Istrum Obv.: K M OΠΕΛ ΔΙΑΔΟUMENIANOC AV; draped bust right Rev.: UΠ ΑΓΡΙΠΠΑ NIKOΠΟΛΙΤΩΝ ΠΡΟC ICTΠ; city gate with three crenulated towers
Great coin Bing that type are my favorite, I have a worn Septimus Severus City gate here tat is a little bit different it seems to have a second story with windows, Nikopolis Ad Istrum AE 27, 13.39gm, Moushmov 931.
