I'm not so sure this one is a cud. Looks more like the rim took a hit, pushed some metal then circulation flattened it down. Curious what others say though

 

Thank you for your comment I'm interested to that is why I put up tread but just a visual observation no indication in the rim that is one of the first factors that I look for I am working on a rim photo

 

Looking at the spot in question, it looks as if it is. Looking at the entire coin, I believe it to be PMD and wear.

 

My first thought was some type of lamination, not sure now. Probably PMD.

 

I know myself I could use a lot more help with this may i provide you with a few more photos it help me. They may help you to in your assessment
