Will Tokelau Horse price ease in the short term?

For those that watched the price of the Tokelau Snake from it's release until now, can I get some opinions of the current price of $40+ for the 2014 Horse on EBay?

My gut tells me that there is frenzied interest as the Horse as it was just released. Modern Coin Mart, the only US dealer is out of ungraded coins. The only place to get ungraded coins right now is EBay. Will the price cool off? I just bought a snake for $30, so $40 seems steep.

Was there this kind of price spike and shortages when the Snake was released in 2012?

Any thoughts or guesses appreciated. If I want to own an ungraded Horse, should I buy now or wait?

I do not know what to tell you. I ordered one on July 10th for $29.84 from Modern Coin Mart. I think that they will be offering more single coins. Perhaps you could email them and ask.

GOOD LUCK! They are indeed beautiful coins!

MCM has the raw coin on Ebay for over $68 buy it now. Ouch. They claim almost gone.

Geesh, hard to believe I only got these in early/mid July from them as Lot of 5 coins for $136 (and I thought that was pricey at $7 over spot). There must have been a lunar horse buying frenzy going on. We're kind of seeing it now with the pre-sale of Perth 2014 Year of Horse stuff.

I'd call MCM and ask if they anticipate getting more. They claim to be the exclusive USA vendor, so, you'd think they must get more eventually.

Thanks for the info, everyone. I'm going to give MCM a call.
