Respectfully, your coins are not quite the same as the ones I've shown. The ones I show are uni-face, off center errors. I agree that the ones you purchased are quite common errors. See how many uniface off center strikes you can find on eBay. I've done some looking myself and there aren't that many in comparison. In fact, I bought the only one I could see on there, so feel free to point out others I might hve missed.

No... that’s simply an off center. Are you familiar with brockage and capped dies? It’s what makes the coin(s) I purchased a double error and why they stand out from your single error coins.

I think you’re trying really hard, but that one has very little detail on the coin. My first one has remnants of the date and may actually be readable and the second one I bought is a full date. Even so, the point is, you’re not going to buy four uniface off center cents with any detail for $20. If you did some years ago, congratulations. :)

Son of a gun!!! Do you how long I looked at that coin and never seen that!! Thank @Seattlite86 So I have a question.. did you just add value to my coin?? Lol. Just wondering. When I bought it the guy at the coin shop said it is the price because of no date. I liked it away it goes.....

To be honest, I'm not sure if I added value, but I certainly think I confirmed that you paid a good price for a good coin. I'm still not 100% sure what happened to yours. I think that the first coin got struck but didn't eject properly and then struck off center onto your coin, which was struck second. This caused brockage on the obverse only. If I'm right about that, your coin is really cool and a great purchase. I'm not sure it would add any value having it slabbed, but I would want that slabbed just so I could play with it and show it off without worrying about damaging it. @paddyman98 and @JCro57 could probably advise you better on its value. I'd have personally been happy to pay $30 for it (especially knowing it has a date) ;)

Well, generally at shows I go to, the one the OP has without a date sell for anywhere from $7 - $12. A similar one if it were copper and no date sell for usually a little more. Ones with dates could be double those prices.

I agree with @paddyman98 in that it wouldnt get a details grade, but I would not slab that unless it has enormous sentimental value to you.

Can you walk me through how exactly this strike happened? Is there something I can read on it? I understand broadstrike, but I don't understand the "indent" part.

Also, you're close, but you can determine the date if you look hard enough ;)
