The idea is to avoid what industrial safety experts call the "swiss cheese" problem. If you hold up one piece of cheese, you can look through the holes. If you line up two slices, there is a reduced chance of being able to see through both slices. By the time you've lined up 3 or 4 slices, the odds of having a hole all the way through are pretty small. Do that with your defenses against coin fakes and counterfeiters.[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
