Already at NGC scheduled for grading.

Will it grade, if so what's it grade?

It came straight from the roll.

I posted this coin several years ago and it's gotten much more beautiful in that time. I thought I'd see if NGC gives it a grade. I tried to find where I posted the pic but couldn't find it.

    Fingers crossed!

    Back is blast white.

I don't see why not. There's absolutely nothing there that says AT in any form.

I'm going with no for the sole reason they they seem to just slap AT on any toned Silver Eagles now a days.

Generally I would try to not rule on things like artificial toning / toning as this is a bullion piece, to me it's not worth grading on its own , the toning does not necessarily make it better or unique.... Question it off to this is it worth the 12.5.$ +shipping and such

I would say no if this was a newer issue, but its an 86, been around for a while....good chance they slab it

No, NGC doesn't like these toned.
I've not had any luck with them, so I cracked them out sent to PCGS and received clean grades.
Hey you never know you might get lucky.

NGC/Silver Eagle/Toned-Given the date probably but not newer. At any rate, it won't be worth the costs you incurred.

If you did have a graded would probably comeback environmental damage

Now you might get a conserved grade....

From ncs , or Ngc would slap it with a details label environmental dam.. It's not bad to have a details coin .. But dont expect a premium for it .. If you want to keep it for your personal collection sure

Disagree. In this instance, if this receives a clean grade, I could see getting $75-90 for this particular coin, making adding it to an Economy submission worthwhile.

PVC damage show green , also so does unless it's copper

I'm not saying it won't grade , at all , just that as a bullion piece with tons of them floating around in ngc pcgs and anacs icg slabs... The toning does not make it unique in my view ...of course the coin will grade but they may kick it back with a details slab in one of the following catagories: greased / environment damage / artificial toning / ..... PS. He needs better pics without glare...

I don't think it translates across series, but I recently sent to NGC a 1964 Kennedy half with color and patterns very similar to this, and based on marks and hits, it was a 63 at best. It came back an MS65. It'll either grade high or not at all. "Do ya' feel lucky? Well do ya'?"

Yeah, but I've been in the position of needing "one more coin" to complete a minimum quantity requirement of some kind. The mind plays funny tricks on you.

Ignore the nay-sayers. It's natural. I just got this one back from PCGS yesterday.

Yeah, but that's not NGC, that's PCGS - Plasticized Coins Gullibly Slabbed. The OP specifically mentioned NGC. I agree with you - send it to PCGS and she'll come back with a gaudy number for sure! :rolleyes:o_O
