There is no additional Sac dollar in the proof or mint sets next year. The current Sac with the flying eagle reverse is replaced with the new one, same obv, new reverse of the indian planting seeds in a cornfield where the corn is already three foot high. (I believe that was the one selected.) So there will be three additional cents and one additional quarter (Six additional cents in the mint sets, ten if they decide to include both copper and plated zinc compositions)
(indian planting seeds in a cornfield where the corn is already three foot high) That, my friend, is a smart way to layer a few crops of corn so one can have it in nearly constant supply during the growing season. I refuse to be taken in by the United States Mint again. Too many lousy excuses for proof and silver proof mint sets have come my way and were returned, mostly at my expense, for me to even consider buying anything from them again. The last silver proof mint set I ordered was returned a couple days later, wherein I asked for it to be replaced with a 'perfect' set. Apparently they could not honor my request and finally refunded both my purchase and one way postage. jeankay
to conder101 this mean we gonna have year 2009 17 pc of proof and silver proof set. 34 pc of mint unc set. and 2010 set will also be reduce somewhat.
probably ONE quarter, ONE cent, five dollars and one each of the rest., that's three cents and five quarters.
no way the mint will introduce new coins again if necessary. like the pending solar system which include a lot of commemorative coins.
The "pending" solar system has already been put on at least two year layoff and at least one of the 2010 commems has already been approved. One of the 2011's coins is also close and the 2014 has been approved. If that "pending" Solar sytem isn't approved pretty quick we probably won't have a chance of seeing that 50th anniversary set before their 60th anniversary. (NASA's 50th anniversary year ends in about 50 days.)
one commememorative only i hope one commemorative coin a year. and hopefully the half dollar with silver. 90% or 40% is fine with me.
