As @Mountain Man has posted, here is a twist that might be useful to you - An old shoebox, pill bottles with quarters for weight, a piece of glass from a broken picture frame, and some dark backing from something I bought from Amazon (it was packing material). The light I bought as it fit into the box conveniently and I'm using an old iPhone 5 to take the pictures. Low budget...decent photos.
