The map is pretty detailed and If I can relocate the street again, I'll be able to follow the road to where the school is marked simply as SH. near the river and Walaa! I tried for a few minutes but had trouble getting my bearings. I'll try again. There are a couple maps online according to my resources.
These World War I era German Marks were passed one to me from a dear friends collection upon his passing. This Civil War dollar I receive as part of a selection from my grandmother, as one of my ancestors fought in the Union Army, Kirks Raiders/ the Second NC Mounted Infantry. Among other things Kirks Raiders guarded Stoneman's retreat after his raid on the Virginia Rail lines as 'the Band' had so eloquently represented as "the Night They Drove Ol Dixie Down". The 20 Yen note was brought back by my great uncle on his return from service in Korea. He gave it to my grandmother who passed it on to me. and then there are these. Not so much monetary value but alot of sentimental value.
Last "Wicked War Wednesday" I showed a coin from the first year of the war of 1812. Here's the second year.
Canada 5¢, 1943 Victory; Tombac. With Morse code around edge. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces411.html
First time seeing these in a local shop. Figured I'd grab a couple of pictures, then realized I could post them here!
