If you threw the piece on eBay as is with accurate photos, you might be surprised by how high bidiots will bid.
Here is an idea (tongue in cheek): Why don't you get one of the members that claim that any coin can be undetectably ATed and have them treat it for you? Maybe it will look even better. If the toning is thick enough, the swirl marks might not be as distracting.
As mentioned there is no previous price or sale information available for this coin so fo all we know the alterations could have taken place 75 to 100 years ago when this was maybe just a $5 coin. and they were trying to make it a $7 coin.
